Abstract
Devices and methods for verifying the reliability of a data stream are described. According to one aspect, the data stream indicates whether a segment is the first or last segment in its assigned sequence. According to another aspect, a device for decoding a data stream is configured to determine, from the data stream, whether a verification chain within a temporal sequence of segments is broken at a segment.
