ICE MAKER

Abstract

A refrigerator that includes a cooling system is configured to cool at least one refrigerator compartment and one freezer compartment. The refrigerator also includes an ice maker configured in a refrigerator door and configured to receive an insulated supply of cold air from the cooling system. The ice maker includes a cylinder that defines an extrusion cavity for the ice maker. An extrusion head is attached to the cylinder, and a plurality of cooling fins are configured radially around the outer surface of the cylinder. An insulating body is configured around the plurality of cooling fins; the insulating body and the plurality of cooling fins define an air space for circulating the insulated supply of cold air.
