Abstract

The present invention relates to an agricultural antibacterial formulation of plant origin for the control of Pseudomonas syringae. The formulation comprises a synergistic combination of extracts from Kalanchoe tubiflora leaves and Ternstroemia lineata flowers, a non-ionic surfactant, and an agriculturally acceptable carrier. The combination exhibits an increased percentage of bacterial growth inhibition against Pseudomonas syringae compared to the individual extracts, showing a quantifiable synergistic effect with a FIC index less than or equal to 0.5. The formulation is applicable in sustainable agricultural systems for use in greenhouses and open fields.
