DUAL FUNCTION HANDLE ASSEMBLY

Abstract

A handle assembly includes a main body having a handle and a faceplate positioned around the handle. The faceplate has a lever opening. The handle assembly includes a locking mechanism with a locking piece having a locking notch. The locking mechanism includes a lever located within a lever housing. The lever is movable relative to the lever housing. The lever includes a lever tail configured to be received in the locking notch. The lever includes a lever head removably attached to the lever tail. The lever head is at least one privacy lock button and one pass-through lock button. At least a portion of the privacy lock button extends from the lever opening and beyond the faceplate.The step lock button interacts with the lever housing to prevent relative movement between the step lock button and the lever housing.
