CUSTOMIZABLE SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM COMPRISING AN RFID TAG, AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME.

Abstract

A security alarm system is provided. The system includes an RFID tag mounted on a first window / door and a corresponding frame. The system also includes a sensor with an RFID reader mounted on a second window / door and a corresponding frame. The distance between the sensor and the RFID tag varies as the window / door opens. The sensor includes a signal range adjuster, the operation of which alters the range within which the sensor can read the RFID tag. The system includes a control panel. The sensor sends a signal to the control panel to trigger an alarm when the distance between the sensor and the RFID tag increases above a predetermined threshold and the sensor can no longer read the RFID tag.
