Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for producing bioplastic from oat waste for the manufacture of products for various categories in the plastics, food, agro-industry, cosmetics, and packaging industries, among others. It consists of preparing a mixture based on oat waste, polypropylene, additives, plasticizers, and lubricants that can be applied in plastic injection, extrusion, and thermoforming processes at a very economical cost, given that it is obtained from post-industrial waste or byproducts of the food and agricultural industries, which for most are considered waste. This bioplastic invention from oat waste aims to reduce the carbon footprint and decrease the degradation time of plastic products at the lowest possible cost.
