Abstract

There is disclosed a double bearing reel (1) of the present invention includes: a reel body (2) including right and left side plates (2A, 2B); a spool (3) rotatably supported between the right and left side plates (2A, 2B); and a handle (5) that is provided on one of the side plates (2B) and rotates the spool (3); and a movement restriction portion (20) is provided on an outer circumferential surface (7a) of the side plate (2A) of the reel body (2) on the side opposite to the handle (5) and prevents the fisher's thumb (T2), holding down the side plate, from moving outward from the side plate.
