Self luricant bicycle hub

Abstract

The present invention relates to a self-lubricating bicycle wheel hub designed for high- performance bicycles, such as racing and mountain bikes. The hub features an integrated oil lubrication system that ensures consistent lubrication of the bearings, reducing friction, enhancing rotational efficiency, and extending the lifespan of the hub components. The system comprises a hub body (1), a shaft (2), bearings (3), retaining rings (5), and two end caps (6), with oil seals (4) at both ends to prevent lubricant leakage and contamination. The use of durable materials such as brass alloy or aluminum enhances the hub’s robustness. This innovative design eliminates the need for frequent maintenance and overcomes the limitations of traditional grease and oil lubrication systems, offering improved performance and reliability for demanding cycling conditions.
