Abstract
Disclosed is a method for creating a reinforced fleece-backed aliphatic polyurea waterproofing membrane is disclosed. The method comprises applying a primer layer to a concrete surface, followed by a first layer of brushable aliphatic polyurea coating. A nonwoven polyester fleece fabric is embedded into the wet polyurea coating, ensuring full saturation of the fabric to enhance tensile strength and crack-bridging capabilities. The saturated fabric is allowed to cure for up to 12 hours, forming a reinforced base layer. A finishing layer of aliphatic polyurea coating is then applied over the cured fleece fabric, creating a durable, UV-resistant, and waterproof membrane. The resulting membrane provides superior flexibility, resistance to tearing, and ease of application, making it suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial uses.
