Polysaccharide-coated nanoparticles from botanical raw materials and methods of preparation thereof

Abstract

The present invention provides an optimised method for synthesising nanoparticles from botanical raw ingredients aimed at enhancing the bioactivity and physical properties of bioactive compounds extracted from the raw ingredients. The process involves surface coating bioactive compounds with natural polysaccharides and applying optimised centrifugal forces to yield stabilised, uniform-coated nanoparticles. The present innovation enhances the polyphenol contents, antioxidant activity and solubility of coated nanoparticles compared to uncoated nanoparticles.
