Abstract

Embodiments of this specification provide an order processing method, an electronic device, a storage medium, and a system. In the method, in response to detecting that a user performs a payment operation for a target order, a POS device sends a payment request corresponding to the target order to a server, and the server forwards the payment request to an acquiring institution; when receiving a payment result of the target order from the acquiring institution, the server sends the payment result to the POS device; if the POS device does not receive a payment result representing a payment success of the target order from the server within preset duration, the POS device prompts a merchant with a payment failure, and sends a cancellation instruction corresponding to the target order to the server, to request to cancel a fund transfer generated for the target order; and in response to the cancellation instruction, the server can request the acquiring institution to perform a reversal procedure to cancel the fund transfer.
