Abstract

This specification provides a traffic limiting method and system, and a storage medium. The traffic limiting method is applied to an intermediary platform, and the traffic limiting method includes: obtaining a target task of a user, where the target task is used to represent invocation of a target interface of a third-party platform to perform a target operation; obtaining traffic limiting information of the target interface; generating a current token for the target task based on the traffic limiting information; and when the current token is a valid token that meets the traffic limiting information, invoking the target interface to execute the target task. In this way, when the user directly interacts with the third-party platform, a data loss caused because a corresponding initiated request exceeds a traffic constraint of the third-party platform can be avoided, and a requirement of invoking the target interface within a traffic limit of the target interface can be effectively met, thereby improving effectiveness and reliability of traffic limiting.
