Abstract

A pot plant cultivation method, preferably in a greenhouse, in which predatory spiders or other spiders are used for biological pest control, comprises the steps: placing pot plants growing in cultivation pots (1) on a cultivation surface (TV), releasing the predatory spiders or other spiders near the cultivation pots (1) placed on the cultivation surface (TV), and watering the pot plants. The cultivation pots (1) are equipped with irrigation / drainage holes (15, 21) on the undersides, and the pot bottoms (2) of the cultivation pots (1) have raised areas extending upwards. Spaces above the raised sections in the pot bottoms (2) form elevated shelter / nesting chambers (RK) located freely above the cultivation surface (TV) for the predatory spiders or co-opers, which elevated shelter / nesting chambers (RK) are designed as air bells that are airtight upwards and laterally and open downwards. + Fig. 1
