Method and system for monitoring a physical condition of a user

Abstract

This disclosure presents a method for monitoring a physical condition of a user employing a system comprising a mobile device and a wearable device. The wearable device and the mobile device are communicative connectable. The wearable device comprises a processor, a communication module, a memory module, and a biometric sensor. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, by the processor of the wearable device, a request to initiate a monitoring process; in reaction to receiving the request to initiate a monitoring process, obtaining, with the biometric sensor of the wearable device, a first plurality of raw measurements during a first time period; determining, on the wearable device, one or more derived values using the first plurality of raw measurements; communicating, via the communication module of the wearable device, the one or more derived values to the mobile device; and presenting, on a display of the mobile device, at least one of the one or more derived values.
