Abstract

The invention concerns a device for manufacturing molded items from a material, such as clay material, in accordance with the invention and a method for doing so. The device in accordance with the invention comprises: - a mold for shaping the material; - a filling device for introducing the material into the mold in a filling direction; and - a pressing device for pressing the material into the mold in a pressing direction to form a molded item; where the pressing direction and the filling direction are at a filling angle.
