Abstract

An absorbent article comprising a waistband panel assembly comprising a front panel (10) and a rear panel (10’), and further comprising an absorbent body (20) extending in a longitudinal direction between the front panel and the rear panel; wherein the front and rear panel of the waistband panel assembly are joined to each other via a first side seam (30) extending parallel to the longitudinal direction. A first aspect includes that a distance diS as measured in the longitudinal direction and between adjacent individual joints is at most 2 mm. A second aspect includes that the front panel (10) comprises a layered structure (LSI the rear panel (10’) comprises a layered structure (LSl’). There is further provided a method for manufacturing the article. FIG.19A
