The present invention relates to nitropyridinium derivatives of general formula (1) active on sensitive and resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other species of Mycobacterium responsible for human or veterinary pathologies, and on Plasmodium falciparum, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphy / ococcus epidermis, Leishmania donovani, Candida albicans, Trypanosama brucei, Aspergillus fumigatus. The derivatives according to the invention are used in the treatment of sensitive and resistant forms of the following infectious diseases: tuberculosis, leishmaniasis, malaria and against certain bacterial infections with Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermis as well as against fungal infections with Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus. The nitropyridinium derivatives according to the invention are obtained by nitration and / or substitution of a methyl group and / or an oxygen atom on a nitrogen heterocycle, nitrated or not.
