Abstract
It refers to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer, comprising spironolactone represented by chemical formula 1 below or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or BPK-21 represented by chemical formula 2 below or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, as an active ingredient, characterized in that the composition reverts cancer cells to normal-type cells (or normally functioning cells) by specifically inhibiting or degrading ERCC3 (ERCC3 excision repair, TFIIH core complex helicase subunit), also known as XPB (Xeroderma Pigmentosum group B), thereby suppressing the proliferation of cancer cells and simultaneously inducing normal differentiation.
