Abstract

The present invention relates to an advanced nosebleed simulator applied to the field of medical simulation and clinical training, configured to dynamically and controllably reproduce scenarios associated with anterior and posterior epistaxis. The device comprises a craniofacial structure, a detachable and anatomically moldable external nose structure, a hydraulic fluid circulation and recirculation system, and an electronic control system associated with mechanisms for propelling, regulating, and monitoring the simulated hemorrhagic flow. Furthermore, the simulator includes an anterior and posterior tamponade system using a portable, flow-regulating tampon, allowing for the reproduction of clinical hemorrhage control procedures under realistic anatomical conditions.The system also incorporates mechanisms for adjusting the head angle, channeling and draining fluid via external overhangs on a torso, allowing for modification of the gravitational behavior of the bleeding during simulation. Additionally, it includes a redundant operational backup system and a humidity sensor configured to detect internal leaks. Thus, the invention provides more realistic, reusable, safe, and functional clinical training for procedures related to managing nasal bleeding and nasal packing in educational and hospital settings.
