Abstract
This technology provides targeted genome editing techniques to modify the color of Vitis plant parts and fruits. Specifically, this technology relates to the use of genome editing methods to generate edits that result in large inactivating deletions in genes of interest, such as genes associated with plant color and pigmentation (e.g., PDS1 and mybA1), to modify the color traits of plants and fruits.
