Abstract

The present invention relates to the technical field of smart wearable devices applied to geriatric safety. The technical problem addressed is the high incidence of falls in older adults, which result in serious injuries and loss of independence. The proposed solution consists of predictive smart footwear that integrates environmental sensors (ultrasonic / mmWave), inertial sensors (accelerometer + gyroscope), a pressure sensor, a processing unit with artificial intelligence, a haptic and audible alert system, a GPS + eSIM module, and a rechargeable battery. The predictive algorithm analyzes the user's gait pattern in real time and anticipates the risk of falls, activating preventive alerts and, in the event of a confirmed fall, sending the user's location to emergency contacts. This solution is autonomous, ergonomic and non-invasive, offering an effective tool to reduce accidents in older adults and people with balance problems, applicable in domestic environments, geriatric residences and urban mobility situations.
