Abstract
The present invention describes a controlled and reproducible method for dyeing natural fibers using walnut (Juglans regia) and alder (Alnus acuminata) extracts. This method promotes a more responsible and sustainable approach in the textile industry, enabling uniform dyeing of natural fibers, improved colorfastness, and increased wash and lightfastness. The method consists of the following steps: pretreatment, mordanting with a tannin-rich alder extract, dyeing with a chromophore walnut extract, drying and colorfastness, and colorimetric evaluation. The process is characterized by precise control of parameters such as temperature, pH, and time, which improves colorfastness, increases washfastness, and reduces environmental impact.
