Abstract

The present invention lies in the field of electrical engineering, particularly in devices for the distribution of low-voltage electrical power, connectors, and power strips, geared towards modular configuration and maintenance by component replacement. The invention is a modular electrical distribution device comprising: a) a base unit (1) provided with a plurality of female housings (2), each housing (2) including an internal thread (4); and b) at least one power outlet module (3) including an external thread (5) compatible with the internal thread (4) of at least one of said housings (2), wherein the module (3) is configured to establish electrical contact with the base unit (1) by means of the rotary coupling produced by screwing the module into the housing (2), enabling the supply of power to the module (3) when the threaded coupling reaches a closed condition. This design allows the mechanical fixing and the electrical connection to depend on the same rotational action, ensuring a firm contact and allowing the individual replacement of modules due to deterioration or change in international plug standard without affecting the integrity of the base unit.
