Abstract
The present invention addresses resonance control in bladeless wind turbines, an emerging technology that harnesses wind energy through vortex-induced vibrations, eliminating traditional blades. The central problem is the lack of a control system capable of maintaining stable resonance, an essential condition for maximizing energy capture. The objective is to design and implement an optimized fuzzy controller using genetic algorithms, capable of reducing the average error, maintaining resonance within ±1 Hz, and utilizing up to 98% of the actuated diameter range of the physical test mechanism. Fuzzy logic facilitates the handling of the system's inherent complexity and uncertainty, while genetic algorithms facilitate the search for optimal configurations in large parameter spaces, avoiding local optima and improving the robustness of the control. The combination of these techniques is emerging as a powerful tool not only to overcome current limitations in the resonance control of bladeless wind turbines, but also to open new perspectives in optimizing the energy use of this emerging technology.
