Abstract

According to the invention, a sliding pendulum bearing 5 is used to protect a construction against dynamic stresses from predominantly horizontal earthquake excitation with a first sliding plate 1, a second sliding plate 2 and a slider 3 movably arranged between both sliding plates, in which each of the two sliding plates has a curved main sliding surface 10 and 20 and the slider 3 is in surface contact with a first main sliding surface 10 of the first sliding plate 1 and with a second main sliding surface 20 of the second sliding plate 2, characterized in that the first main sliding surface 10 is designed for a first load case and the second main sliding surface 20 is designed for a second load case which differs from the first load case.
