An improved substrate pasteurizer

Abstract

A substrate pasteurizer is disclosed comprising a cylindrical body having a top cover, a pressure vent, and a tripod grate configured to elevate a plurality of substrate bags above a water level to prevent direct contact with water while allowing uniform steam exposure. A plurality of heating elements is disposed at a bottom portion of the cylindrical body to generate steam, and a water inlet member with an automatically actuated float valve is provided to maintain a predetermined water level for controlled steam generation. The pasteurizer further includes a sensing device for measuring temperature within the cylindrical body and a microcontroller operatively connected to the sensing device and heating elements to regulate temperature and duration of operation. A sound alarm and a display monitor are also provided for user notification and real-time monitoring of operational parameters. The tripod grate, float valve, and microcontroller cooperate to maintain stable steam generation conditions and ensure uniform thermal exposure of substrate bags, thereby enabling automated and efficient pasteurization with minimal manual intervention.
