Microparticulate pellet feed for anguilla eel larvae and a process of producing thereof

Abstract

The present invention discloses a microparticulate pellet feed for Anguilla eel larvae and its production process. The said microparticulate pellet feed is comprising of 25-28% fish meal; 10-12.5% shrimp meal; 8.2-10% squid meal; 16.8-17.5% gluten; 9.5-10% soybean meal; 5-7% cassava flour; 14.5-16% soybean oil; 3-3.2% lecithin - soy; 1-1.8% vitamin C; 2-3% vitamin; and 2-3% mineral mix that is produced by mixing thoroughly the sieved and pre-weighed dry ingredients, adding premeasured liquid ingredients and loading to an extruder to produce the 350-450 μm and 500-800 μm microparticulate pellet feeds. The said feed has high protein content sufficient for eel growth during the nursery culture and enables less nutrient leaching to maintain better water quality.
