A rasping device

Abstract

The present invention generally relates to devices for food processing, specifically to devices for extracting substances from plant pith, particularly to Sago (Metroxylon sagu). It comprises a supporting frame, a rasping assembly with angled rasping teeth mounted in rasping elements, and a feeding assembly coupled with a translation mechanism configured to move the feeding assembly toward the rasping assembly during the rasping process. The angular configuration is designed to enhance the comminution of the pith structure during rasping, promoting effective release of pith material while reducing the likelihood of shredding and unintentional incorporation of fibrous material.
