Abstract

A control system is a system for controlling an energy storage system configured to adjust power at a combination node with a power system. The energy storage system includes energy storage units, each including an energy storage device configured to discharge and charge DC power. The control system includes: a command distributor configured to: calculate a total DC power command value defined as a total value of power to be discharged or charged by the energy storage device of each of the energy storage units; and calculate, from the total DC power command value, power distribution values to be distributed to the respective energy storage units; and an operation instructor configured to send, to each of the energy storage units, a corresponding power distribution value. The energy storage units include a first energy storage unit. The command distributor: calculates a first power distribution value to be distributed to the first energy storage unit; and distributes the calculated first power distribution value to one or more energy storage units other than the first energy storage unit among the energy storage units, when the calculated first power distribution value falls within a first range.
