Abstract
The present utility model relates to a feed formulation but more particularly to a composition of minerals for formulating feeds for Philippine native pigs (Sus scrofa) characterized in that said composition comprises: calcium in an amount of 0.43% by weight; and phosphorus in an amount of 0.35% by weight, corresponding to a Ca:P weight ratio of 1.23:1. These mineral levels were established through growth performance, carcass evaluation, and bone strength testing of Philippine native pigs (Sus scrofa) weighing 25–35 kg. Results demonstrated that the balanced mineral composition supports improved growth rate, enhanced carcass quality, and stronger bone development compared to generalized mineral recommendations.
