Abstract
The present utility model is a recoil compensator that is mounted to a caliber 0.50 heavy barrel machine gun to reduce dodging of the said caliber 0.50 heavy barrel machine gun by redirecting the fired hot gases sideways. The recoil compensator has a plurality of open notches with progressive sizes on both sides of the main body to efficiently redirect the hot gases sideways to counter recoil and unwanted rising of a barrel of the caliber 0.50 heavy barrel machine gun that normally occurs after firing.
