PROCESS OF LEMONGRASS (Cymbopogon citratus) TEA POWDER

Abstract

A process of making lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) tea powder comprising the following steps: Prepare the ingredients namely lemongrass, brown sugar and lemon juice. Wash the newly picked lemongrass and lemons. Cut the lemongrass into 2 inches size and set aside. Slice the lemons into 2 and extract the juice. Combine the cut lemongrass and lemon juice into the food grinder until it is well corporate. Transfer the grind mixture into the fine net bag extracting the juices. Combine brown sugar and extracted juice into a pan. Open the stove in a medium heat and put the pan with the mixture. Stir continuously in circular motion until it solidify and lower the heat level. Turn off the stove once the mixture solidifies and set aside for 3-5mins. Put back the mixture into the food grinder and grind until its fine. Moreover, children and adults will be enticed of drinking the lemongrass tea powder thereby getting all its nutrients.
