Process for producing alcohol-free mouthwash composition

Abstract

The present utility model concerns a process for producing an alcohol-free mouthwash composition comprising the steps of mixing calamansi essential oil, menthol, methyl salicylate, and polysorbate to obtain an oil phase; mixing water, sugar, and sodium saccharin to obtain an aqueous phase; mixing pre-dissolved sodium lauryl sulfate to the oil phase to obtain a surfactant-oil mixture; and uniformly mixing the surfactant oil mixture and the aqueous phase to obtain the alcohol-free mouthwash composition. The alcohol-free mouthwash composition obtained by the process of the present utility model has remarkable antioxidant and antibacterial effects against oral pathogens.
