Instant beef randang (beef dish)

Abstract

This present utility model relates to an instant beef randang (beef dish) that is generally affordable, ready-to-eat and healthy food option over other instant food items. Randang is a popular beef-based dish in Muslim communities where pig’s meat or pork is prohibited in their religion. The instant beef randang generally comprises a composition of a freeze dried beef and a drum dried sauce, the sauce consisting essentially of spring onion (Allium fistulosum), ginger (Zingiber officinale, Rosc.), turmeric (Curcuma longa, L.) long red chili (Capsicum annuum var. longum), lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) toasted rice (Oryza sativa), coconut (Cocos nucifera) milk, toasted coconut meal, kaffir lime leaves (Citrus hystrix), lemon (Citrus limon) zest, beef powder, salt and cooking oil. The beef dish is having the composition of 60% freeze dried beef and 40% drum dried sauce by weight.
