Portable solar-powered greenhouse gas monitoring system

Abstract

The present utility model discloses a greenhouse gas monitoring system that is portable and solar-powered. The portable greenhouse gas monitoring system (100) comprises of a weatherproof housing unit (101), a hollow sensor tower (102) a solar power unit (202), and a processing unit (200) disposed within the sensor tower (101). The solar power unit (202) includes a solar panel (107), a solar charge controller (203) and a rechargeable solar battery (204) configured to supply regulated electrical power to the system. The senor tower (102) accommodates a processing unit (200), a plurality of greenhouse gas sensing sensors (205, 206), an environmental factors sensor (207) arranged to receive ambient air through a plurality of air inlet holes (108) formed on the sensor tower. The processing unit (200) is electrically connected to a plurality of sensors (205, 206, 207) and a modem (201) and is configured to process sensed greenhouse gas emissions and transmit the data wirelessly to a cloud-based server (106) through a modem (201). This monitoring system gathers real-time data on greenhouse gases to better monitor and understand greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.
