Abstract
The present utility model addresses the problem of lacking a reliable matrix reference materials for validating and quality-controlling the analytical methods used to monitor histamine levels in fish products, by providing a matrix reference material (MRM) for use in validation of analytical methods, quality control and proficiency testing schemes for effective monitoring of histamine levels in processed fish products, the MRM comprising of histamine-spiked lyophilized fish powder, or histamine-spiked lyophilized canned tuna.
