Bamboo-geotextile composite system

Abstract

The present utility model pertains to a bamboo-geotextile composite system (1000) designed to mitigate settlement in construction on soft ground. This system consists of: i) a bamboo grid-frame (300) that is prefabricated from bamboo poles arranged in a criss-cross pattern; ii) a geotextile layer (200) positioned above the bamboo grid-frame (300) to serve as a barrier between the soft ground (400) and the fill material; and iii) a fill material (100) placed over the geotextile layer (200) to create a stable base for construction. The bamboo grid-frame (300) effectively absorbs load energy and uniformly distributes it across the soft ground, thereby minimizing both total and differential settlements. The Bamboo Geotextile Composite System (1000) of the present utility model enables heavy structures to be erected directly on soft subsoil, relying minimally on the strength of the in-situ soft soil for support.
