Abstract
The utility model discloses a briquette fuel composition consisting essentially of carbonized bamboo leaf particles and gelatinized cassava starch binder. The carbonized bamboo leaf particles constitute 80–90% by weight and are pulverized to a particle size of 150–250 μm. The gelatinized cassava starch binder constitutes 10–20% by weight and is prepared by heating starch with water at 85–95 °C. The briquette is dried to 8–10% final moisture and is free of inorganic additives. The composition yields briquettes of improved density, calorific value, and shatter resistance compared with bamboo culm or mixed biomass briquettes
