Abstract

The present utility model discloses a chip made from harvested banana pseudostem (Musa balbisiana), intended as a value-added food product utilizing agricultural waste materials. The composition addresses the underutilization of banana pseudo-stem by converting it into a consumable snack with improved economic value and potential commercial application. The chip composition comprises harvested banana pseudo-stem (Musa balbisiana), flour, salt, ground pepper, and flavoring powder in specific proportions sufficient to produce a crispy, edible chip product. The banana pseudo-stem (Musa balbisiana) is processed through preparation steps including cutting, peeling, slicing into uniform sizes, soaking in water, coating with a flour mixture comprising flour, salt, and ground pepper, deep-frying, and subsequently dusting with flavoring powder to produce a finished flavored chip product.
