In order to solve the problem of high costs in acquiring effective commercial termite treatment methods, and limited cost-effective wood treatment compositions, it is the objective of the present utility model to provide a method for treating wood products for protection against insect infestation, said method comprising, contacting wood products with a composition comprising cypermethrin, chlorpyrifos, and kerosene. The method of the present utility model provides a treatment method that utilizes readily available and common resources for wood treatment systems, while providing a effective protection against termites, and wood-boring insects.
