Abstract
The utility model relates to a powdered silage composition derived from the deboning by-products of milkfish (Chanos chanos) for use in aquaculture feeds. The composition utilizes waste parts such as heads, bones, fins, skin, and viscera, which are washed, ground into a slurry, acidified with 5% formic acid, and stabilized with sodium carbonate. Rice bran is added at approximately 30% by weight to enhance nutritional value and processing efficiency. The mixture is sun-dried and milled into a fine powder. The resulting product has a proximate composition of 14.94 g crude protein, 17.54 g crude fat, 12.24 g moisture, and 12.30 g ash per 100 grams. This powdered silage provides a sustainable, shelf-stable, and nutritionally balanced ingredient for aquaculture feed applications.
