Abstract

The utility model relates to a urinal monitoring apparatus designed to detect liquid stagnation within the drain or trap portion of a urinal and to transmit a remote maintenance alert through a Wi-Fi communication network. The apparatus includes a urinal having a drain connected to a trap, a liquid sensing means positioned near the drain to detect the presence of liquid above the normal trap seal level, a microcontroller unit programmed to execute a stagnation-detection logic that determines whether the liquid remains above the normal level beyond a preset time, and an alert means comprising a Wi-Fi communication module configured to send a notification message to a remote maintenance terminal. A power supply provides continuous operation for the electronic components. When a stagnation condition is detected, the microcontroller encodes the alert data into a structured message and transmits it via a Wi-Fi network to a maintenance dashboard or mobile device. The system resets automatically when the liquid drains normally, providing an effective, low-cost, and network-enabled solution for early detection of urinal drainage faults.
