Abstract

A drill jig comprising a metal rod serving as the structural body of the jig and including a central axial hole acting as a guiding bore for the drill bit, a pair of hexagonal nuts fixedly mounted on the flat bottom surface of the metal rod, and a bolt inserted into each nut, wherein tightening each bolt secures and clamps a solid cylindrical bar against the circular edge of the rod during drilling, the drill bit being inserted into the central axial hole to maintain proper axial alignment with the flat open end surface of the solid cylindrical bar and advanced by a power drill to form an axial blind hole. The present utility model enables accurate and stable drilling of axial blind holes on the flat open end surface of a solid cylindrical bar.
