Abstract
An exhaust-integrated vapor generation and delivery device is disclosed comprising a housing defining a liquid reservoir chamber configured to contain a liquid, an inner heat transfer cylinder disposed within the housing, and a perforated exhaust conduit disposed within the inner heat transfer cylinder and configured to define a section of an automobile exhaust pipe for conveying exhaust gases therethrough. Heat from exhaust gases passing through the perforated exhaust conduit is transferred through the inner heat transfer cylinder to the liquid contained within the housing to generate vapor. A vapor collection chamber is disposed above the liquid reservoir chamber and communicates with a vapor delivery conduit configured for fluid communication with an intake passage of an internal combustion engine. The device further includes an overflow inlet and a drain assembly for maintaining and servicing the liquid contained within the housing. Optional embodiments may include a vapor conditioning chamber, a flow regulating element, a one-way valve, a vapor separation plate, and a disk wall disposed within the perforated exhaust conduit for influencing exhaust gas distribution.
