A Novel Open Top Evaporator Suitable for Concentrating Petroleum Waste Water

Abstract

The present invention relates to an open top evaporator for waste water minimization comprising U-shape tube made of cast iron having a wall thickness of 1.66mm, a Teflon rubber sheet placed between the wall of tank and plate on which U-shaped hot tube is mounted in order to avoid leakage of waste water, a gas flow meter of capacity 0.04 m3 / hr to 0.4 m3 / hr to measure the flow rate of gas, two thermocouples have been installed at open top evaporator of measuring range of 0 C — 650 C, a dip leg of stainless steel has been placed in the tank of open top evaporator to measure the level of waste water in the tank.
