A process for the formulation of zincmanganese ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate (an agricultural fungicide).

Abstract

The present invention is the process for the production wettable powder formulation of active ingredient Zincmanganese ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate having broad spectrum fungicidal activity with other ingredients to make a product suitable for agricultural purposes that can be easily, safely and effectively applied to vegetables, fruits, field crops & ornamentals and can also be used for seed treatment. The formulation is composed of 80% active ingredient and 20% other ingredients. The process comprises the incorporation of ingredients in the active ingredient with the necessary physical operations. The formulation is prepared by mixing / blending of manganese ethylene-bisdithiocarbamate with the filler kaolin, grinding in a ball mill to a size of -200 mesh, then mixing / blending with surfactant and dispersants sodium lauryl sulphate and sodium 13-naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate and then subjected to fine milling in a pin mill to a mesh size of -300 and post blending in a blender to get a uniformly blended end product suitable to be applied as an agricultural fungicide in the form of foliar spray.
