A Process for the Production of Mosquito Repellent Cream, MOS-OFF

Abstract

A process has been developed to produce a formulation of mosquito repellent cream "Mos-Off' which is very effective against mosquitoes and other insects like ticks, knat, fleas and house fly etc. The process is so designed that when it is rubbed on exposed areas of skin mosquitoes stay away from biting, it is harmless to skin and creates no health problem. The process comprises the mixing of Mineral Oil, Paraffin Wax, Glycerylmonostearate, Lanolin and Dimethylphthalate. At the end Citronella Oil is added. Dimethylphthalate being the active ingredient. The Essential Oil (Natural product) like, Citronella, Oil also possess insects repelling property.
