Abstract

The invention relates compound of general formula (I): wherein: Z is selected from the group consisting of (CH2)m, wherein m=0, 1 or 2; (CH2)nO wherein n=1, 2 or 3; 0(CH2)p wherein p=0, 1, 2 or 3; CH2S02; CHNR6; CH2NR6; R1 and R2 are different or the same and are independently selected from the group consisting of - H, linear or branched (C1-C6) alkyl, optionally substituted by one or more substituents selected from (C3-C7) cycloalkyl or (C5-C7) cycloalkenyl; - (C3-C7) cycloalkyl; - (C5-C7) cycloalkenyl; - linear or branched (C2-C6) alkenyl; and - linear or branched (C2-C6) alkynyl. R3 is one or more substituents independently selected from the group consisting of H, CN, NO2, CF3 and halogen atoms. A is a ring system, that is a mono- or bicyclic ring which may be saturated, partially unsaturated or unsaturated, such as aryl, (C3-C8) cycloalkyl or heteroaryl, said ring system A having 5 to 10 ring atoms in which at least one ring atom is a heteroatom (e.g. N, S or O). More particularly, the invention relates to compound of 1-phenyl-2-pyridinyl alkyl alcohol, method of preparing such compound composition containing them.
