A reinforcing insert for a suction channel of a fiber bundling device

Abstract

A reinforcing insert for a suction channel of a fibre bundling device in a spinning machine is described, whereby fixing means for fixing the reinforcing insert in the suction channel are provided. The fixing means are made from the same material as the reinforcing insert and the reinforcing insert is designed as one piece with the fixing means. The reinforcing insert preferably comprises fixing means acting with positive locking or friction locking. Furthermore, a suction channel for a fibre bundling device in a spinning machine is described, which comprises a tube-shaped base body. The outer contour of the base body comprises a first sliding surface for an air permeable transport belt. The sliding surface has a suction slit which extends essentially in circumferential direction of the base body. The suction channel comprises an essentially pocket-shaped recess located at the end of the suction slit for a reinforcing insert having a second sliding surface which extends the first sliding surface. The pocket-shaped recess is designed to be compatible with the reinforcing insert according to the present invention and may have undercut indentations.
