Abstract
A process for dyeing wool and polyamide 6.6 in golden rod and yellow hues, respectively by warming the fabric at 90°C in an aqueous solution of a product obtained from the seeds of Brassica campestris wherein fabric to dyeing solution ratio is 1:10 and weight of the powder for one gram fabric is 0.25g (25% shade on the weight of fabric). Dyed fabrics were evaluated to determine the fixation of product on textile fabrics and various color parameters. Fastness properties such as fastness to wash, fastness to light, fastness to dry crocking and fastness to wet crocking were also determined using standard procedures.
